I was born in Surrey England, June 17th 1956 and moved from Switzerland to Canada at the age of two.
I am happily married to a wonderful and encouraging guy and we have four great kids (most of the time!!) and a crazy dog. The kids range in ages 21, 20, 18 and 13. (two girls, two boys)

A self taught artist I had spent many years struggling to find my artistic niche.

Three years ago ,another artist suggested that I should “find my passion” and express that in art form.

That passion was my work as a Childbirth Educator and Doula.

After drawing a picture of a baby whose birth I had recently attended I realized that I had FINALLY found my artistic niche!!

Teaching prenatal classes for 12 years and doing labour support for 10, I made the decision to change direction for the time being and pursue my dream of being an artist.

So far it has been a good decision but I still find myself tuning into those "birthing" shows on TV, yelling at the staff on TV to" get her up walking" and shedding tears when that baby makes it's entry into the world!! I guess birthing will always be a part of my soul!

I consider my art a gift from God and I remain thankful for this gift.
